I recently was sent the Pixi Milky Tonic in a PR package from Pixi, along with a bunch of other products in their Hydrating Milky line. If you’ve read my Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist review, than you know that is one of my favoriteeeee products, so I was super excited to get to try this line out, starting out with this Tonic.

Info on Pixi
They are a relatively affordable skincare and makeup brand with a wide range of products!
I say relatively affordable because although I think they would be categorized as drugstore, they’re slightly more expensive than the average drugstore product IMO. Still much more affordable than higher end products though!
They are probably most well known for their Glow Tonic, which is a product I’ve yet to thoroughly try. But has nothing but glowing reviews…get it??
About The Pixi Milky Tonic Facial Treatment
About The Tonic
Hydrating Milky Tonic is a toner formulated to calm and hydrate the skin, and overall be a comforting addition to your skincare routine. Alcohol free, gentle, and soothing!
Who Is This Product For?
This is a product definitely intended to sooth irritated skin and hydrate dry skin. It’s not an overly heavy formula, so I think any skin type could use and enjoy, but especially for those with sensitive and/or dry skin.
Average Reviews
This is a newly released product, so there aren’t many reviews for it yet. On the Target website, there have been 3 reviews and all 5 stars! On the Pixi website, it has 6 reviews also with 5 stars each.

Ingredient Highlights
From Pixi:
- Jojoba Milk rehydrates & nourishes
- Oat Extract soothes & hydrates
- Green Tea has powerful antioxidant properties
How To Use Pixi Milky Tonic Facial Treatment
This is a toner, so it will be used directly after cleansing your skin. You can apply either with a cotton round or what I do is put a bit into my palm and press it into my skin with my hands.
I personally feel product ends up going to waste when I use cotton rounds to apply, so I prefer just to use my hands.
Pixi Milky Tonic Facial Treatment Review

My first thought about this is that it’s very similar to my beloved Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist, which is also formulated with oat extract but has the added addition of hyaluronic acid.
In all honesty, I don’t really notice all that much of a difference between these two products. They obviously come in different types of bottles, but generally seem to preform the same for me. I think the Pixi Milky Tonic might be slightly more soothing upon application and help a but more with sensitivity and redness.
But I love my Hydrating Milky Mist, so you know that I love this too! It’s soothing, hydrating, and cooling.
Often when I get out of the shower, if I’ve washed my face or not, my skin is a bit more sensitive than usual. Pressing this tonic into my skin definitely makes a difference in both the sensitivity and redness factor, while adding some hydration as well.
Has never once irritated my skin or burned whatsoever!
It’s not at all heavy or sticky, sinks right in, and you’re ready to go with your next layer of skincare!
Final Thoughts
The Pixi Hydrating Milky Tonic is a great toner if you’re looking for something hydrating and soothing. Highly recommend if you deal with dry and sensitive skin, because I definitely notice my skin being a lot more calm after applying this tonic!
