More On Nudestix

Nudestix is a brand that focuses for easy glam while on the go! Their products are intended to bring out your natural beauty, while giving you a little bit of color and a subtle glow. Their line consists of a variety of easy to use makeup crayons for all of your beauty needs!

They heavily advertise that they are a cruelty free brand, but diving a bit into that below.

Is Nudestix cruelty free?

According to the brand, yes they are cruelty free. However, an article from Cruelty Free Kitty explains how they’re in the grey area when it comes to being cruelty free. One of those brands where you need to do your own research to see what you feel comfortable supporting, and how their policy sits with you.

In all honesty, this was new information to me. Just goes to show how sneaky brands can be. I was under the impression that they were cruelty free, but it seems hard to say that they 100% definitely are. Still posting this review, and I’ll leave it up to you to decide how this information sits with you. If their status remains the same, I likely will use these up then not repurchase unless there is more clarification around their cruelty free status.

About Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color

Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color

About The Product

The Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color is a easy to apply long-wear eyeshadow pencil in pigmented shades, both in matte and satin finishes. These can be used as a shadow, highlighter, liner or primer for the other shadow you wear on top! These pencils can last up to 24 hours and are waterproof.

The set that I have comes with 3 shades: Nudity (metallic rose gold), Burnish (neutral brassy shimmer), and Smoke (metallic charcoal). The individual pencils come in 9 matte shades, and 12 metallic/satin shades.

Average Reviews

On the individual pencils they are rated 4.2/5 stars from 285 reviews.

On the 3 piece set they are rated 4.1/5 stars from 151 reviews.

How To Use Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color

These pencils have 4 different uses. They can be used as a liner either on your upper lid or in your waterline, since they are safe to be used there. They can be used as a shadow all over the lid. They can be a highlight, used on the inner corners, brow bone, cheekbones, and any other place you’d like to highlight. And they also can be used as a eyeshadow primer.

Love love love Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color!!

Swatches of the shades Smoke, Nudity and Burnish from the Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color

Such a high quality and easy to use product with high color payoff. They are extremely easy to use, the product glides right onto your skin. Even when you’re using them on your upper lash line, they don’t tug or pull at all, just glide smoothly.

You can smudge them or blend them out really easily, I typically do with my fingers. They are incredibly long wearing and comfortable as well. They’re great for oily eyelids (me!) and never smudge or fade away throughout wear time.

I typically use these pencils as a combo shadow liner on my upper lash. Quick way to bring a little more definition and color to your look in a super quick and easy way!

The 3 shades I have are all absolutely stunning, and extremely pigmented, they come in a set if you’d like to try all three of them out. Smoke is probably my most used.

The set also comes with a sharpener!

Final Thoughts

I feel conflicted giving this product such a positive review when their cruelty free status remains unclear. If these were definitely cruelty free, I would highly recommend and repurchase in a heartbeat! So ultimately, it’s your decision on what you feel comfortable with and if this is a brand you’d like to be supporting.

Sorry for this confusing review! But just goes to show that in the cruelty free beauty world you always need to do your own research and see if that brand is up to your personal standards. It’s a very personal decision!
