Cruelty Free Empties #2

SO excited to be sharing my second cruelty free empties post because I’ve been hoarding these empty containers underneath my bathroom sink for months and I need to stop doing that lol.

Cruelty free empties #2

Here is my first cruelty free empties post!

1. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

This is probably my first ever holy grail beauty product. I have been using this for YEARS and years, I wanna say close to 10 at this point?? If you have dry sensitive skin, you will loveeee this.

Super hydrating without being overly heavy or greasy. I most often use this as a body lotion and a hand lotion, but when my skin is suuuuuper super dry I will use this as a facial moisturizer as well. Love love love. Love this brand as well. They recently were kind enough to send over a few other products to test out and am loving so many of them!

2. Raw Sugar Healing Power Hair Mask

After I had used about half of this mask up I came to the conclusion that I liked this mask, but didn’t love it. I felt it did hydrate my hair, but it also was hard to distribute and wash out because of how thick it is.

Once I had fully finished it though I realized though that I liked it much more than I had initially. It does require you to really work it in and wash it out more so than maybe some other hair masks, but it left my hair feeling soft and moisturized, and ultimately is a really good cruelty free drug store hair mask option! Will be updating my review to share those thoughts 🙂

3. Simple Micellar Water

Took me so long to finally use this up! I only use micellar water to remove or touch up makeup. My only requirements for a cruelty free micellar water is that it doesn’t irritate my skin and especially my eyes when I use it for makeup removal. That’s it. I don’t use micellar waters to cleanse my skin as some do. But this is SUPER gentle and has never once irritated my skin at all.

4. Body Merry Breakthrough Night Cream

This was like not love for me, and not a product I plan to repurchase. It was super thick and although a good value, it left my skin feeling like there was product sitting on top in the morning. Never fully absorbed in, and I am not a fan of that feeling. If your skin can handle thick moiturizers, you might like it? But it wasn’t for me.

Worth nothing – no breakouts while using this.

5. Lume Deodorant

After using up the entire container (which took me a while btw), I can still say this is the best natural deodorant I’ve ever used. Not ONCE did it irritate my skin at all, and worked really really well for me. I’ve already repurchased it!

I wish it came in a non-floral scent because the scents they currently have would give me a headache. The unscented smells a bit weird but goes away really quick so it’s not that big of a deal. But a vanilla scent would be nice!

6. DevaCurl Melt into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask

This is probably the best smelling hair mask I’ve ever used!! It definitely left my hair feeling soft and nourished, but not quite as much as other hair masks do.

Honestly I’m a little nervous about using DevaCurl products now because I keep hearing horror stories about how it made peoples hair fall out!! I never had that experience, but…..I don’t want to either.

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo

Love love love love this brow powder. I wish it was just one color because one of the shades matched me a bit better than the other, but I love it regardless. Easy to apply and super long lasting. Will be repurchasing! I use the shade Medium Brown.

I thought I was strictly a brow powder person after trying the Brow Wiz and not being a fan, but then I went back to the Brow Wiz and fell in love with it?? Now I love them both equally! But if you’re a powder person, I think you’ll definitely like this one!

8. Tula Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel

Another acne product that greatly helped to clear up my skin! As my skin started to clear up, I wanted to find something I could use as a spot treatment instead of consistently putting salicylic acid on my face with the cleanser. I picked this up to try and it worked really well for me as a spot treatment! Scott ended up trying this and really like it as well! Worked well for both of us 🙂 Helped to quickly clear up the breakout without being too over-drying!

PS – the code IVYROSE will get you 15% off your Tula order, no matter the product!

9. Skinfix Lipid-Boost Jelly Hydrating Serum

This ended up being not nearly as hydrating as I expected it to me, and not making a significant difference in my skin. I felt that I didn’t notice a different in how hydrated my skin felt when I used just a moisturizer or used this serum + my moisturizer. Just overall didn’t really notice a difference and definitely didn’t feel that it hydrated my skin all that much.

This has some seriously high ratings on the Sephora website, so idk maybe it’s just me??

10. Kopari Coconut Deodorant

I was SO excited to try this natural deodorant. Native, although effective, left me with a rash and irritation. I had read that baking soda in natural deodorants often left people with some irritate, myself included, so I was excited to find Kopari since it didn’t have baking soda.

Smells AMAZING. However, never really dries down and just left my underarms wet all day, and ultimately left me with irritation as well. I think this is because of how it didn’t dry down, but I’m not totally sure. So disappointed!!

So far, Lume has been the only natural deodorant to actually work for me and give me no irritation.

A few repeats from previous empties

Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser and Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist empties.

And by a few I mean I hoard these empties for no good reason. A lot of empty Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist and Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser, both products I love and highly recommend.

The Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist is my favorite facial spray, and a refreshing and moisturizing spray that my dry skin responds really well to. Refreshing and light, never heavy or greasy. Love storing it in the fridge in the summer! Love this stuff. I purchase at Target and they have two sizes, and the bigger size is a significantly better value!

The Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser made a HUGE difference in my skin when I was dealing with breakouts – before and afters in my review below. I basically had a 2-3 year period where my skin consistently had multiple breakouts. NOT cute. This cleanser seriously changed the game for me. It not only helped me manage my acne, but also didn’t dry my skin out completely while using it. Love this stuff. I use it less often now since my acne is more under control, but I still have some on hand for if I need it.

Such a relief to get this post up because I can have all the space underneath my sink back that I was using to store all these products!

Have you tried any of these products?! I’d love to hear your thoughts if you have!
