I picked up the First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask because another influencer I follow recommended it, and from her review I had to try it out for myself. I’m all for multi-tasking masks, and after using it for a while now, I’m sharing my review!

The First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask.

First Aid Beauty is a skin care brand I already absolutely love. Their Ultra Repair Cream has been a favorite of mine for years and years. Maybe 10 at this point. I’ve tried many other product by First Aid Beauty as well and tend to love whatever I’ve tried. It’s a brand I trust to be soothing and nourishing on my sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin.

From Sephora, “First Aid Beauty provides everyday essentials and targeted skincare solutions that deliver immediate relief, lasting results, and feel-good textures. Their products are formulated with only clean, skin-loving ingredients that are carefully selected so you don’t have to worry about what’s in (and not in) your skincare products. There are over 1,300 ingredients on FAB’s no-no list”

The First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask is a gel mask that is supposed to nourish, calm, firm, plump, and refine.

Ingredient Highlights (from Sephora):

  • Vitamin C: Helps skin appear brighter and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Eijitsu Rose: Helps minimize the appearance of pores.
  • Benoitine: Helps strengthen and renew skin, while decreasing the appearance of pores.
  • Pepha Tight: Helps skin appear smoother and more firm.

On the Sephora website, the mask has been rated over 124 times, with an average review of 4.3 stars.

It smells very sweet, fresh, and cucumber-y, which I personally really enjoy. It’s very easy to apply, you just scoop some out of the jar and apply it to your skin.

You’re supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash off. It’s a little sticky, but you wash it off so you don’t really have to deal with that for long. It feels very cooling, but not tingly, which I really liked.

I do think it was nourishing and calming on my skin. As I’ve mentioned before, I have sensitive, dry and dehydrated skin. It’s very important any skin care product doesn’t irritate my skin, and this not only didn’t, but calmed down some of my redness I experience daily.

This mask did not break me out or irritate any breakouts I was experiencing at the time. Definitely calmed down some of that redness as well.

After using this mask, my face felt more hydrated, and a bit plumped up. Some of the texture on my cheeks had been evened out, which was great.

(edited to add): It’s probably not the most hydrating mask I own, but it’s not specifically formulated to do that. It is SUPER calming and nourishing, and for those two reasons it will remain a skin care staple for me! The more I used it the more I fell in love with just how calming this mask was when my skin truly needed it.

What the Bouncy Mask is supposed to do for the skin.

I personally didn’t notice any firming or refining. Truly I’m not sure what to look for with that. Maybe it did it? How do you even notice that? I’m not sure. I probably should know that. But, a lot of the reviews on Sephora say that it did do those things for others, particularly the firming.

I would prefer to do all three in terms of hydrate, calm, and plump. It does the second two really well! And while it’s somewhat hydrating, it’s certainly not formulated to be the deepest hydrating mask you’ve every used.

If you have normal to dry skin, I think this mask would be great for you. If you deal with occasional dryness, this would be a great mask to pick up. If your skin is a little irritated from something, this would be a great mask to use to soothe your skin. Or even if you have normal skin and are looking for a nice facial experience in a jar, it’s a solid mask.

But, if you’re looking for this to thoroughly hydrate your dehydrated skin, I don’t think you will have that experience. It’s just not quite hydrating enough to fix those types of issues.

That being said, if you do have sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin like me, I still highly recommend you checking out First Aid Beauty. They have a wide range of products, and I bet you’d find something that would really help your skin out.

They have a Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask, that is formulated much more for sensitive and dehydrated skin. I plan to pick this up to try as some point, but reviews say it’s pretty amazing!

Truly I cannot recommend this brand enough! Do you have any favorite First Aid Beauty products? Leave them below so I can give them a try!
