I recently picked up the The Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer because honestly the packaging got me. Not entirely sure why I decided to purchase, because as I’ve learned over the past couple of years of using thicker moisturizers on my super dry skin, they tend not to work for me and sit on top of my skin never fully sinking in.
This one was highly rated and I got suckered in my the cute packaging, so I’m sharing my thoughts and reviews for y’all here on if it’s another thick moisturizer that I’ll end up having to give away.

How To Use The Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer
This is a moisturizer that can be used in the morning or at night. Although, it is a thicker formula, so depending on your skin you might prefer to use this as a nighttime moisturizer.
It comes with a metal scoop that magnets to the top of the lid. I use that to scoop out some of the product then will rub it between my palms to warm it up a bit and apply. A little goes a long way because it is so thick!
Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer Review

I honestly have no idea why I picked up the Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer. I would say the biggest realization I’ve had with my skincare is that even though I have very veryyyy dry skin, it doesn’t respond well to heavy, thick, luxurious moisturizers. It can actually only absorb the thinner more gel-like consistencies. Farmacy even has one of those! So I truly don’t know why I decided to pick this heavier one up.
THAT being said however, I LOVE this moisturizer! Plot twist, right?!
I had zero expectations for this moisturizer to work for me, but somehow it does. It’s the first thicker and deeply moisturizing product that my skin responds well to.
It smells like an absolute dream with the honey scent – loooove that. And the packaging is amazing! It’s a jar, and comes with a scoop that magnets to the lid, so you don’t have to dig your fingers into the jar and contaminate the product. When you get down to the bottom of the jar I’m not sure how easy it will be to keep using the scooper, but it’s good for now.
It’s seriously such beautiful packaging, I absolutely will reuse in some way when I finish this product!
I would say the Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer works best for me usually as a nighttime moisturizer because of how intense the hydration is. However, I’ve used it during the daytime as well when my skin is especially dry and needs an extra moisture boost and love it then too. Just depends on what my skin needs that day.
Typically when I’ve used heavier products at night I wake up in the morning and feel this film on top of my skin that I need to wash off immediately. The Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer actually sinks in and I can tell a difference when I wake up in the morning. Just more plump and soft! Has helped a bit with my texture as well.
Same thing during the day. It actually sinks in and isn’t this greasy layer of product for the entire day that I have to walk around with. It does take longer to absorb than a gel-based consistency product, but not an annoying amount of time.
I really think this will be my go-to come winter time. Will have to update this after I’ve gone through a winter with it! I typically have some flaky skin around my eyebrows and nose when the winter rolls around and I can tell this will be amazing to help combat that.

Also, even though it is a heavier product, I have not notice it break my skin out at all! Hasn’t aggravated my sensitive skin at all either. I would say it’s very gentle!
I haven’t layered this under makeup a ton because I’m just not a huge foundation person, but I do wear undereye concealer and concealer on blemished. From what I can tell it layers just fine! Especially near under my eyes. I’ve been wearing a powder undereye concealer and if my undereyes aren’t properly hydrated it’s not cute. This moisturizer definitely makes a difference! (not directly under my eyes since I have an undereye cream for that area, but surrounding areas)
If you have oily skin, or honestly even normal skin, I think this may be too heavy for you. It’s very thick, if I haven’t impressed that upon you enough already, and I doubt your skin would respond well. Perhaps if you go through period of experiencing some dryness, but other than that, it probably wouldn’t be a good fit.
However, they have a lighter product that might work better for you – Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer. Might be worth a try!
Final Thoughts
While I fully expected the Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer to not at all work for me because of the thick consistency, it totally blew me away. It’s hydrating and luxurious, AND, most importantly, actually sinks into my skin and doesn’t just sit on top causing a greasy film to build.
I’ve found it works best as a nighttime moisturizer because of how intense it is, but it works during the day as well if my skin is especially dry.
If you have dry skin, especially if you’ve previously found thicker products to not work well for you, I encourage you to give this product a try!! It shocked me!
If you have oily (and possibly normal) skin and don’t experience dryness, I don’t expect this product to work well for you, but you might want to check out its lightweight sister.
