Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss Review

I ended up trying the Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss completely on a whim, but am SO glad I did because it’s quickly become one of my all time favorite cruelty free lip glosses. I am veryyyy picky when it comes to glosses, and this is one of the select few that has made the cut imo.

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss.

I picked up the mini because it was a Sephora rewards point gift. It was a complete at-the-register impulse decision!

From the Sephora website, the Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss is a “A whipped peach lip oil with the shine of a gloss and the moisture of a lip balm.”

My ideal gloss situation right there. And it’s SO true. Perfect combo of a gloss and a balm.

My biggest pet peeve with glosses is when they’re too sticky. The Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss doesn’t even have a hint of stickiness. Feels so hydrating and smooth upon application, and makes my lips feel bouncy and plump, if that makes sense. Love how this feels on my lips!

Although it’s supposed to smell like peaches, I would say it smells more like a combo of peaches and bubblegum. Smells SO good, and doesn’t taste too bad either when it ends up in your mouth. We all know it happens with glosses and balms. The price we pay for beauty, right? If we’re going to accidentally consume product, it at least better taste okay…???

The applicator is a doe foot, and on the longer + skinny side, so it’s really easy to apply. And reapply a million times because it’s just so good. Can’t stop won’t stop. I’ve applied it 4 times while sitting here writing this review because I can’t help myself when it’s right here in front of me!

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss comes in 8 different shades, all with a peachy kinda undertone to them. You can see color when you apply them, but it’s sheered out.

(FYI – all 8 shades are only available on the Too Faced website)

I personally wish they had a clear version. Even though the colors are on the sheer side, you definitely can still see them, and I just would prefer to have an option with no color. Either for layering over a lipstick that isn’t peachy, or just to wear on it’s own. It’s such a comfortable and hydrating formula, but I don’t always want to look like I have a peach colored gloss on my lips, ya know?

Two different sweet peach lip gloss shades.

However, it does layer beautifully over lipsticks! I just find the peachy tone lends itself to other nude or peachy types of shades when layering.

In terms of lasting power, it definitely doesn’t have all that much. But are glosses even supposed to? I can’t stop rubbing my lips together when I wear this, so that def might be part of the problem. If I’m not eating or drinking it definitely would last you an evening though.

In writing this post, I’m noticing though that at Ulta they no longer sell this gloss, and at Sephora, they only sell one shade. I really really realllllly hope they aren’t discontinuing it! On the Too Faced website they still have all of the shades available, so I’m not sure what’s going on.

The right is the shade Peach-sicle, and the left is Pure Peach. Tbh, when I bought the full size I was intending to buy the same shade as my mini one but got all the peachy shades mixed up!

So you might want to scoop one up before they’re gone and I am broken hearted!!

This is my current other favorite gloss, which does come in a clear formula, if you prefer that. SUCH a good one as well!
