Hurraw Lip Balm Review

Since switching to cruelty free, I’ve been searching for a solid replacement lip balm that I can have a million of laying around in various places, and the Hurraw Lip Balm is currently taking the top spot!

Hurraw lip balm in lemon and lime.

PS – does anyone else do that with their lip balm? I have one on my nightstand, in my skincare drawer in my bathroom, multiple in my bag, one on Scott’s nightstand because he stole mine, one in my car, probably one in the couch cushions. Lip balm addict life!

Anyways, I did a quick search of cruelty free lip balms and was immediately drawn to Hurraw Lip Balm because, well first of all their cute font and packaging, but second, I love that there are SO many different scents to choose from! I’ll dive more into that later, but let’s talk about the brand and formula first.

If you check out their About page, you can see that they are very transparent about ingredients. They break down every ingredient in their products in a way that’s really easy to understand. They explain the purpose of each ingredient, if it has an organic certification, how it’s extracted, if it is vegan, and where it is from. They even go into some common questions that can be asked about that particular ingredient for some. That’s pretty cool for a brand to go into such detail like that!

It’s vegan in addition to being cruelty free.

My review of the Hurraw Lip Balm is that it’s a really solid product to stock up on and keep in various places! I have found it to be pretty long lasting. When I apply it at night I usually can still feel it on my lips in the morning. I love that it comes in so many different scents! Reminds me of the Lip Smackers I used as a kid and wanting to collect them all!

The packaging is different shaped than you’re typical circular lip balm, it’s more of an oval. I don’t really feel like I have a strong preference one way or another over the shape, but if you are a diehard circle only shape kinda individual, this ain’t for you.

Have you ever applied chapstick and feel like a few minutes later a tickle in your throat? That happened to me before with other chapsticks, not really sure why. I’m guessing from swallowing a little bit of the chapstick and it irritating my throat some how? But just wanted to say I haven’t experienced that at all with the Hurraw Lip Balm.

Also, I don’t feel like this is one of the chapsticks that you apply and immediately need to reapply. And just keep reapplying over and over again all day long. Like perhaps it’s actually drying out your lips more than it’s moisturizing them. Ya know what I mean? DOESN’T HAPPEN at all with this. I haven’t experienced this once. I do reapply because, like I said, I’m an addict and absolutely hate the feeling of chapped lips, but that’s more a personal issue.

Back to the scents – there are SO many to choose from. I love the variety! They have your classic cherry (tinted), lemon, and mint, and then some really unique scents like chai tea, papaya pineapple, and root beer! Not into scents? No problem, they also have an unscented version. Looking for SPF – they gotcha covered with a tangerine chamomile balm with SPF 15. They even have a super cool moon balm that I’m about to place an order for. LOVE THESE LIP BALMS. Check them out HERE.

Just took a look through the Hurraw Amazon page and the average review is 4/5 stars or higher! I’m definitely not the only one obsessed.

Lemon and lime hurraw lip balm.

They are cheaper on their website, typically either $4 or $5, but shipping is $3.50 unless you spend over $100. By all means, spend over $100 on lip balm, you do you.

On Amazon, they are $7.50 – $8.50 for individual balms. They have a few 3 packs for $17.25-$18.50, making them around $5.75 – $6.17 each. Or a 5 pack, where you get to select which 5 you’d want, for $27.95, making each one $5.59. See, math class was TOTALLY worth it! (Just saw there are some 2 packs too, but the 5 pack is still the best value)

So, if you are a fellow addict, I highly recommend giving the Hurraw Lip Balm a try! I have no doubt you will love these just as much as I do!
