The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette is easily one of the most beautiful products in my collection. Charlotte Tilbury just really knows how to create some stunning products!! I have been eyeing this palette for years, and finally after hearing rave reviews from one of my favorite bloggers, I finally picked one up to try for myself!
I’m not a huge bronzing and highlighting person, and typically opt for things on the natural side. I do use bronzer and highlighter occasionally though, and was hoping this could be my new go-to.

The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette is a bronzing and highlighting duo intended to be used to define and sculpt your features and give you a candlelit glow! They are designed to be universal shades flattering on all skin tones, but definitely are within the golden range of colors.
It comes in two shades – Fair/Medium and Medium/Dark.

How To Use Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow
The bronzer is intended to be a contour or sculpting powder, and used to anywhere on your face to add more definition! Typically, cheek hollows, nose, temples, jawline, and anywhere else you’d like to create the effect of shadows.
And the highlight is of course to be used as a highlighter! Bringing light and a glow to areas on your face you’d like to stand out like the high points of your cheeks, cupids bow, brow bone, center of your nose, and elsewhere.
I prefer to apply these powders with a brush, with this highlighting brush and this contour brush being my go-tos.

First of all, can we talk about just how stunning this packaging is?! We’ll dive into the product itself in a sec, but I always love having Charlotte Tilbury products on my vanity, my acrylic drawers I use to store makeup, or even just in my makeup bag. They are absolutely beautiful! The mirror itself inside the packaging is a good one as well, an actual good size for use on the go!
The more I use this palette the more I really fall in love with it. Although it definitely pulls a bit on the warm side (and I lean towards cool toned shades in terms of my preference) it blends out with my skin tone really well not giving me TOO too much warmth.
The main reason I love this palette so much is because I find it to be so universal. Whether you want a very natural looking highlight and contour/bronzing situation, or a more defined one, you can achieve both! Both the highlight and contour are very buildable powders. They layer really well, and continue to blend out no matter how much you add on. This is especially true for the bronzer!
They shades in this palette blend like an absolute dream, adding to the more natural look I tend to go for most often. Definitely gives you just a bit of subtle definition and lit from within kinda glow – if that’s what you’re going for! You can easily build up to more definition.
I see a common thread in reviews saying how the color payoff isn’t there like they wanted it to be in this product, but you have to remember it’s designed to be a buildable powder. At first application, it’s going to be a very subtle, and you can layer it up for more definition + glow.
I prefer buildable because it allows plenty of room for error. No one wants a muddy looking contour or too-bronzed face!
Pro tip – if you’re wanting either of these to pop a bit more, you can layer them on top of cream based products!
That being said, if you’re wanting an extremely define/chiseled contour powder and blinding highlight, this likely isn’t the palette for you.
Final Thoughts
I absolutely recommend this palette if you’re looking for a very natural looking highlight and bronzer, you’re wanting something you can build up depending on the look you’re going for, or if you just want some room for error with a product! Would be a great buy for any of those! It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the pans themselves are pretty big and I see this lasting a long time.
However if you’re looking for that blinding highlight you can see from across the room and a super chiseled contour, you probably won’t love this.
