Very excited to be sharing my one of my first reviews here on my new cruelty free beauty review blog, and had to start with one of my OG holy grails, the Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist.

Two sizes of the Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist.

If you happen to follow my other blog, Ivy Rose Knows, you know that this has been a favorite of mine for years. For so long. I’ve gone through at least 5 of these bottles, with no plans on slowing down any time soon. It’s an amazing spray or mist, whatever you wanna call it, and I definitely recommend you checking it out!

So, according to the Pixi Beauty website, the Hydrating Milky Mist is a “deeply hydrating mist that provides an invisible layer of skin-soothers, making it the ultimate remedy for dry skin.” This is 100% true! At least it is for me.

But truly I think this would be good for any skin type in need of a little extra moisture, because I know even if you have oily skin, sometimes you need a little somethin’ somethin’. Even their website says its suitable for all skin types. It’s not a heavy or greasy spray whatsoever, so I think dry, normal, oily, and combo skin types would all enjoy this.

It contains hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into the skin, black oat extract to reduce and calm any inflammation, and vitamin b complex to strengthen the skin.

The nozzle itself sprays out a really fine and even mist, so if you’re using this as a makeup setting spray, you’re not going to mess up your makeup by using this.

Some sprays can be uneven or splotchy, but this one definitely isn’t. I will say that it can get a little uneven when you’re at the end of the bottle, but that’s going to be true of any spray.

Favorite Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist Uses

  • I spray this immediately after patting my skin dry after I’ve washed my face, both morning and night. The face wash I use had acid in it to treat acne, so it can be on the dry side for my skin, this spray really helps to bring back moisture into my skin.
  • I prime my skin for makeup.
  • When using a beauty blender or sponge to blend makeup in, I’ll spray the sponge with some of this beforehand to add more moisture. I have very dry skin, so this makes a big difference in how my makeup looks, especially under my eyes.
  • I set my makeup – I can’t really speak to if it makes your makeup last longer, but I’m not really using it for that purpose. My undereyes tend to look dry when I use concealer, and this helps keep them from looking dry. Also, if I’ve set anything with powder but don’t want my skin to look too powdery, this mist helps everything melt into the skin.
  • In the spring and summer, I sometimes will store this in the fridge so it’s nice and cool before applying either in my skincare routine, or as an after-sun spray.
  • I bathe in it. Okay, just kidding, but I would if if I could afford it.

I think by now I’ve probably convinced you that the Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist is one of the BEST hydrating sprays out there, and you definitely need to add it to your beauty arsenal asap!

If you do want to pick it up for yourself then I’d suggest grabbing the bigger size at Target. It’s nearly double the size of the smaller bottle, and it’s also cheaper. Not sure what’s going on there, but it’s fine by me!

I hope you decide to check out this mist, and if you do, let me know what you thought of it! Thanks so much for reading!
